Medical Accompaniment

we are looking for:

Volunteers who speak Mandarin, Cantonese, and Chinese dialects (e.g. Hoisan), but all are welcome to apply.

All new volunteers must attend an orientation and training to learn about our mission and values, their responsibilities as volunteers, and the context of our work in Chinatown and the Downtown Eastside.

this could be you!

Your skills and time can be used in diverse ways to support our events and existing programs. Bring in commitment and and open mind to build relationships with Chinese seniors, we are happy to have you.

Over the years, volunteers have participated in supporting occassional events such as Dragon Boat Festivals, Art workshops and field trips.

For fluent Chinese speaking volunteers, they can help our medical accompaniment through translation so Chinese seniors do not have to navigate the healthcare system alone.
